Because ‘Talk About It®’ is an anonymous online reporting service, AnComm holds the management and protection of a school’s faculty and student identities in the highest regard. We’ve built our web-based service on the latest technologies to ensure “Talk About It’ is always available 24x7 with no interruption. And we’ve created stringent processes for managing the user community and incident data derived from the students and schools using ‘Talk About It®.’
Secure, Always On Infrastructure
AnComm’s ‘Talk About It®’ is hosted at a state of the art top tier hosting facility with every and all necessary power, connectivity, security provisions and redundancies to prevent downtime, including encrypting the ‘Talk About It®’ application with a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Certificate. The SSL Certificate creates an encrypted link between AnComm’s ‘Talk About It®’ web site and your web browser so that all data passed between remains private and secure.
A Process for Misuse
In the unlikely event a student submits a false report using AnComm’s ‘Talk About It’ anonymous online and text based reporting and emergency notification service, school administrators may contact AnComm to conduct a review and investigation. If misuse of the reporting service is found to be true, a warning is issued to the student followed by the possible termination of the offending student’s account.
Managing Student’s Identities
Upon launching the service, each student is presented with a Login ID and a Password. AnComm, not the school, owns the relationship between students’ user credentials and their true identity and therefore serves as an intermediary between school officials and student data to ensure that one’s anonymity is protected.
